Welcome to ChillTax! This Privacy Policy explains how Wibbly Works Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website and the ChillTax app.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect the information necessary to provide you with a seamless tax-prep experience. This includes:

• Personal Identifiers: Your name, email address, and contact information when you sign up or contact support.
• Financial Data: Data you input into the app to calculate your taxes, whether typed in by hand, imported from a CSV, or synced from a bank account you choose to connect.
• Bank Account Data: If you subscribe and choose to connect a bank account, we receive transaction and account information from that bank through our banking provider, Plaid. Access is read-only. Neither ChillTax nor Plaid gives us your bank login credentials, and we never store them.
• Payment Information: When you purchase a subscription, your payment details (like credit card info) are collected and processed directly by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our website, including IP addresses, browser types, and device information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to make your freelance life easier. Specifically, we use it to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the ChillTax app.
• Process your subscription payments securely.
• Respond to your customer service requests via hello@chilltax.app.
• Send you technical notices, updates, and security alerts.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell your personal information. However, we use trusted third-party services to operate securely. These include:

• Stripe: We use Stripe for payment processing and fraud prevention. Stripe may collect personal data and use cookies in accordance with their own privacy policy to facilitate these transactions.
• Plaid: If you connect a bank account, we use Plaid to establish and maintain that read-only connection. You enter your bank credentials with Plaid directly, not with ChillTax, and Plaid handles that data in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can disconnect a bank at any time from Settings.
• WordPress & Hostinger: Our website relies on WordPress for content management and Hostinger for secure hosting. They may log basic network traffic data to ensure server security and performance.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies (small text files stored on your device) to help our website run smoothly and to understand how visitors interact with our pages. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies, but some parts of ChillTax (like secure login sessions) may not function properly without them.

5. Data Security

We take the security of your financial and personal data seriously. We implement commercially acceptable security measures to protect against unauthorized access or alteration of your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

Transactions that reach your account — typed in, imported from a CSV, or synced from a connected bank — belong to you and stay in your account. Deliberately, they are not deleted when a subscription ends or a bank is disconnected: cancelling a subscription stops future bank syncing, but you keep the history you already have. If you want that data gone, delete your account and we remove it.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Request that we correct or delete your personal data.
• Opt-out of any future marketing communications.
